My Journey
Balancing everyday life to include cooking with my family, writing curriculum, homework, church, TaeKwonDo, music lessons (piano, guitar, violin & the sax), dance lessons (ballet, tap, jazz & hip-hop), reading, and of course blogging is a challenge, a joy and my journey.

| Mi casa, es su casa. |
It is my prayer for you that you will impact heaven with
your love, laughter, creativity and music.
With wisdom share these gifts.
With sacrifice discover
the secret place of the most high.
Psalms 91
Be blessed, be loved, be happy, be hopeful.
In all situations seek the Truth.
Through seeking and discovering Truth,
you will find your Savior.
He loves you . . . even more than I.
Mother
Thank You Veterans . . . Especially our new friends at Pembroke Pines Veteran's Nursing Home.
The students in Ms. Portuondo's Fifth Grade Class at Nova Blanche Forman made greeting the veterans very special for Megan, my Maria and me! Thank you for the lovely cards of appreciation for America's War hero this Veteran's Day. The girls and I were greeted graciously by those who served our county and those that now serve them. The Veteran's Nursing Home was as lovely and hospitable as the people we met. Looking forward to visiting again during the Thanksgiving season. Thank you for receiving us so generously.

State TaeKwonDo Competition
Allen and Christian earned first and third place medals in Tampa this weekend. Congratulations!
Our family first entered martial arts when Christian (an energetic lad) was four years old. Eight years later, our love and talent for the sport continues to grow. Christian, Allen and I tested (and passed) earning an official WTF second dan. Our daughter Maria, reluctantly prepares for her first dan next spring. Although she demonstrates near perfect techniques in kicking and forms, her love and passion is for dancing. Nonetheless, I am thankful for Grand Master Oh at Oh's TaeKwonDo School for allowing us the opportunity to train as a family.

Play Time with Francis by Maria Fowler
Once upon a time there was a little girl named Francis. She woke up on a Sunday morning and jumped out of bed. Happily she ran down the stairs. Francis was going to church. After a yummy breakfast she jumped in the car to go to church. But when she was finished with church, Francis was sad. Mama said to Francis, "do you want to do something that will cheer you up?" "Yes, but what may I do?" replied Francis to Mama. "Do you want to go to the park?" "Okay," said Francis. "Do you want to walk or drive there?" asked Mama. "Drive," pleaded Francis. "Let's go then."
Mama and Francis went into the car and it was very quick to get there. Once Francis arrived at the park she was bored. Just then there was someone who asked if they could play together. And Francis happily replied, "Yes!"
The first ride they went on was the swing, next was the slide. Then they shared a little picnic and went home. That night when Francis went to bed, she said her prayers. "Thank you Lord for this wonderful day. I had fun. Thank you for everyone around me. Amen."
